9.5 years ago, Sunarti's mother (at that time was 75 years old) was paralysed, bedridden, on a feeding tube only and relying on an oxygen tank. She could not stand and had difficulty speaking. The MRI results showed a mixed cystic neoplasm suspect epidermoid tumor and solid malignant mass attached to the right brainstem with approximately 4 cm. There are no traditional treatments suitable for her due to her age and the tumour position. ECCT is the last resort for her.
After a few months of using the device, Sunarti's mother started to be able to sit up, her left limb began to move, and she started eating without a tube anymore. After a while, her breathing became smoother, and she did not need oxygen anymore. She also began to learn to stand, and her ability to stand up was getting better; talking was getting easier month by month.
9.5 years later, at the age of 84, Sunarti's mother's condition is much better. Her left limb, eating, speech and breathing have all returned to normal. (From the notes of Mrs Nanik Sunarti, daughter of Mrs. Sunarti).
